The festivities

Six ceremonies, three days

Choose a ceremony to see when and where it happens, and what to wear.

Day one · Friday, 19 February 2027

Haldi

  • 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
  • Zenana Courtyard

The first ceremony is a messy one. Turmeric paste for the couple, marigold showers for everyone, folk songs from the Langa musicians and a brunch of kachori and jalebi under the neem trees.

Day one · Friday, 19 February 2027

Mehendi

  • 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm
  • Bagh Lawns, by the mango orchard

Eight mehendi artists, a bangle bar, kathputli puppeteers for the children and a chai cart that does not close. The bride's design hides Aditya's name; he has until the pheras to find it.

Day one · Friday, 19 February 2027

Sangeet

  • 8:00 pm onwards
  • Darbar Hall

The two families face off in a dance battle that has been rehearsed over video calls for months. After that, a live band, a Rajasthani thali dinner and a dance floor that stays open late.

Day two · Saturday, 20 February 2027

Baraat

  • 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
  • From Suraj Pol gate to the palace forecourt

Aditya arrives on a decorated white horse, led by a brass band and dhol players. The milni follows at the palace gate, where the two families greet each other with garlands.

Day two · Saturday, 20 February 2027

Pheras

  • Muhurat 9:10 pm
  • Lakeside Mandap

The seven rounds of the sacred fire, on a mandap built over the water's edge. The ceremony lasts about ninety minutes, and it is unplugged: please keep phones away until the vidaai.

Day three · Sunday, 21 February 2027

Reception

  • 7:30 pm – midnight
  • Sheesh Mahal Terrace

A candlelit evening on the terrace with a view across Lake Pichola. Ghazals over dinner, a few short speeches and a last dance before everyone heads home.

Yes, very much so. There is a supervised kids' corner with puppet shows during the Mehendi and Sangeet, and babysitters can be booked through the travel desk.

Come to as many as you can. Tick the ceremonies you will attend in the RSVP so we can plan seating and transfers for each one.

At the safa station in the palace forecourt from 4:30 pm on 20 February. Safas are provided in the baraat colours; you are welcome to bring your own.

Every meal has a full vegetarian and Jain spread. Non-vegetarian dishes are served only at the Sangeet and the Reception, on a separate counter.

Please do, at every event except the pheras, which are unplugged. Our photographers will share an album link after the wedding.

Your presence is the gift. If you would still like to give something, a blessing in a handwritten note means more to us than anything wrapped.
